Bennet’s
Appliance began in 1931 when Bennet Geiser worked for his uncles at
Smith Dairy Products Company in Orrville, Ohio. Officially, in 1945,
when the dairy acquired the franchise to
sell Frigidaire appliances, Bennet established ‘Bennet Refrigeration
and Appliance Company, Inc.’ The appliance store was located in one-half
of the dairy’s truck garage. It was then Bennet learned to repair the
refrigeration systems, milk coolers, ice cream cabinets, dairy cases and
refrigerated trucks.
