Mattresses Choices We Make

I understand there are some of you local people that have replaced or are thinking to replace your old Mattress with one made in a small shop out on a farm.

Before you make that decision, I have a question? Would you drive a car designed, built and warranted by a company with only a few employees or would it be a better decision to buy from an established company like Ford, Acura or BMW, with design, engineering and manufacturing in many countries around the world?  The same is true for mattress companies.

Some people are the best when it comes to building barns and making furniture, but when it comes to building mattresses, I recommend that you choose a national company like SERTA who builds "The Best Mattress In The World.

We know that a good mattress is one of the best things anyone can buy for their own health and happiness.
Getting great sleep starts with getting a Great Mattress.  The Better Sleep Council studies show that sleeping on a good new mattress can reduce stiffness and back and shoulder pain, as well as improve sleeping comfort. " It's important to consider replacing it after five to seven years"  Come to Bennet's Appliance for your sleeping needs.

Good Quality Coffee FAQ

Coffee quality depends on a combination of factors. Fresh beans, measured by both how long it's been since the beans were roasted and the time elapsed since grinding the beans, are imperative. High quality beans (measured by the specific crop, processing, handling, etc.) are, obviously, desirable, but the highest quality beans are all but useless if stale. Clean good-tasting water must be used, and the coffee must be brewed with clean equipment at the proper temperature for the proper amount of time.
Simply buying top-quality beans is no guarantee of great coffee; if those beans are stale, the water quality poor, the brewing temperature low, or your equipment dirty, you will have wasted money on those expensive beans. Lesser quality yet freshly roasted beans, ground before use, will almost certainly be superior to a higher quality sample that is stale.  Copied Scott Rothstein

Coffee Shelf Life

People should treat coffee for what it is- a food item with short, fragile shelf life. Breads & fruits get that respect- give it to coffee!

Buy Fresh Roasted Coffee and use it within 7 days for maximum flavor and taste

Coffee Plantations in Guatemala

In the last two years I have visited six of the eight Coffee Regions of Guatemala. 98 percent is shade-grown as it provides protection and nutrition to coffee plants.

The coffee grown in Guatemala is some of the best quality in the world because of the Volcanic activity which has blessed Guatemala's coffee regions with rich mineral soil. Today, volcanoes are intimately linked to coffee cultivation.
Crimson cherries are hand picked in the field, one by one. The cherries that are not mature red are left for subsequent passes. If the cherries are too green, the coffee tastes like grass: too ripe and it tastes almost like vinegar. The entire picking process requires several months of careful selection.

Coffee Roaster Visit

A friend and I drove two hours yesterday to visit a little coffee shop that had a new professional coffee roaster installed last year. They roast Fresh Coffee weekly for their regular customers and his business is growing with satisfied people realizing the difference a fresh roast of beans makes for good taste.

My question is, Would there be enough of my friends and customers of Bennet's that would purchase Fresh Roasted coffee beans on a regular basis to begin a roasting business here in Orrville?

I have been home roasting for over one year and enjoy the delightful coffee and Espresso of Fresh Roasted Beans.
Would love to hear from all of you,

Efficient New Dishwashers at Bennet's

Bennet's Appliance Centers researches many new products and only then makes the decision which ones we know will give the best value for the money to our customers. One of the Dishwashers I suggest, is Bosch. Why? Because I have used a Bosch dishwasher in my own home for many years.

We all want to save money on those things that we do have some control over. Some areas of United States are in severe water shortage and others seem to have all the rainfall needed for sufficient water. But, I suggest when we purchase new appliances, we seek those that are rated to use less energy and resources.

"The most efficient dishwasher today, which Bosch introduced this year, uses 1.5 gallons of water per cycle, 70 percent less than the average dishwasher, and meets the 2011 standards. The savings are, in part, created by sensors that detect the amount of soil in the water as well as the type and quantity of dishes and adjust the washing time, amount of detergent and water accordingly. Additionally consumers can opt to only wash the top rack."
